May 4 After suspending operations in March, buses have undergone deep cleaning and have been equipped with plexiglass barriers to provide additional protection for drivers. When service returns, al passengers must wear face coverings, enter and exit through the rear door and practicing social distancing with no more than 10 riders per bus. Patrons may select their materials by using the online catalog at vaillibrary.com and placing a hold on the items. Staff will then make contact via email or phone to arrange a time for pick up. RECREATION PATHS OPEN WITH SOCIAL DISTANCING GUIDELINES Vail Public Works has been busy deaning and preparing the recreation paths for use, induding reopening of the Gore Valley Trail through Dowd Junction. Signs have also be posted asking people to follow social distancing protocol while on the paths and to keep dogs on a leash at all imes. For more information, visit valilgov.com. CLEAN UP DUMPSTERS COMING! Monday, May 4 - Friday, May 15 (or until dumpster is full) Free dumpsters will be available to residents to dispose of buiky unwanted items. People are asked to practice social distancing and wear face coverings while at the dumpsters. The dumpsters will be located at the North Trail parking lot in West Vail, Ford Park parking lot and the East Vail interchange parking area at -70 exit 180, In lieu of the annual cleanup activities, residents are encouraged to get outside and clean up their neighborhoods while practicing social distancing. For more information, visit vailgov.com. CINDER PICK UP AND STREET SWEEPING Now through Friday,. June 12 Cinder pick up and street dleaning operations are underway. Residents are asked to rake the cinders from their yards into the right-of-way and to cat the Public Works Department at 970.479.2158 when ready for pick up, then allow a few days for completion.
