PUBLIC NOTICE PORTION OF EAGLE VALLEY TRAIL TO BE RELOCATED The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) in conjunction with Eagle County announce that a portion of the Eagle Valley Trail will be relocated The relocation is a result of development at the Eagle County Regional Airport. The trail will remain open throughout construction with theex- ception of approximately 10 days between the closure of the existing trail and opening of the new trail alignment. It is anticipated that construction activities will occur from May 1, 2019 through November 30, 2019 Heavy equipment will be used along the trail throughout construction. A barrier fence will be installed along the trail; however, trail users should use caution and be aware of construction activities. The new alignment will meet the design standards in Chapter 4 of the Eagle Valley Regional Trails Plan The FAA is requesting public comments on the relocated trail and an intended de minimis Section 4(f) finding for the relocated trail. A de mini mis impact is one that, after taking into account any measures to mini- mize harm, results in a determination that the project would not adversely affect the activities, features, or attributes qualifying the resource for protection under Section 4(f). The FAA will make the final determination after considering comments from the public and Eagle County Per Section 106 of the National Historic Preservation Act, the FAA is also anticipating that the project will result in No Historic Properties Affected and will submit this finding to the Colorado State Historic Preservation Office for their concurrence. In addition, the project will result in 0.21 acres wetland impacts as a result of the installation of the new storm sewer pipe.
