Avalon was founded in 1987 by Frank and Tonia Hall in Aspen Co.  After raising their daughter Hanna, in the Roaring Fork Valley the Hall’s chose the Vail Valley area to focus their business expansion beginning in 1997. Over the years Avalon pioneered the introduction of world class outerwear and apparel into the Valley, offering brands such as Zegna, Moncler, Herno, Gimos,Lone Pine, and Missoni. In 2014 the Beaver Creek store, which is the Market Square anchor retailer, was totally remodeled and expanded to accommodate many new designers and categories. During the spring of 2016 the Vail store was also remodeled to enhance the shopping experience at our location in The Arrabelle in the heart of Lionshead.

We continue to be recognized as the go to store for contemporary down,leather, shearling, and fur outerwear. In addition,we are now recognized at the leading Vail retailer for current fashions, including sportswear, accessories, and jewelry. As we enter our 30th year of business we are proud to remain a specialty apparel retailer offering unique products with an uncompromising quality.
