VAILHOLIDAYS Complimentary 'Event SKI DOWN TORCHLIGHT PARADE & FIREWORKS Today, December 31 * 6:15 pm Golden Peak The Town of Vail's New Year's Eve celebrations wil be highlighted once again with the Vail Holidays Torchlight Parade and Fireworks at Golden Peak, A Vail tradition, ski instructors and Vail locals form a glowing train as they ski down Golden Peak. Viewing for this spectacular event will take place at the base of Golden Peak. Fireworks will light up the sky directly after the parade. The event is free and open to the public. Safty Tips Free Extended Bus Service If your New Year's Eve celebration includes drinking alcohol, please arrange for a designated driver. Buses are also an option: FREE Town of Vail Bus Service Town of Vail bus service wil increase frequency tonight until 2:10 am. FREE Eagle County Bus Service Eagle County ECO Transit will be offering free bus service with more frequency tonight from midnight til 2.00 a.m. Leave Your Car in the Structures To prevent a DUI, vehicles entering Vail Village or Lionshead parking structures today after 3 p.m. may be left overnight for free. Vehicles must be retrieved by 11 a.m. on Jan, 1 by using an ovemight parking authorization receipt avalable from the Town of Vail parking office or from the Vail Village or Lionshead Welcome Centers. For more information, visit vailgov.com. Added Patrols for Added Safety Vail Police and Fire foot patrols will be present throughout Vail to ensure a safe and family friendly environment. The Gore Range DUI Task Force will be present on the roads to make sure everyone is driving safely.
